Toward Jesus
Toward Jesus
When Jesus called Peter, who was in the boat, saying, "Come," Peter did not consider the boat, the sea, the wind, the waves, or his fellow passengers. He stepped out of the boat and walked on the water toward the Lord who had called him. But when he looked at the circumstances, he began to sink.
In our lives, there are times when we walk straight toward Jesus, fixing our eyes on Him. However, there are also many moments when we get overwhelmed by our circumstances and begin to sink. Once He says, "Come," we must start walking without hesitation. If, after beginning to walk, we start doubting whether He truly called us, the Lord’s question to us will be, "Why did you doubt?" (Matt. 14:31).
One who is willing to lay himself and all that belongs to him on the altar without hesitation will be able to keep his eyes fixed on Jesus and hear His voice clearly. Such a person will walk forward with courage, disregarding circumstances, overcoming obstacles, and moving ahead with unwavering faith.
