These notes were taken down in conversation with brother Harry D'Monte, during his closing years. They may contain inaccuracies and omissions, but it is felt that, notwithstanding, they will prove useful to students of Gods Word.
Harry DMontes father died in Rangoon before he was born, and his mother had to move back to Madras (Chennai) penniless but with a heart full of faith. In this home Harry grew up and learned to trust God and know His leading. He recalls first trusting in Christ when he was about 10 years old. The story of his trials, blessings, experiences and service are told in the book The Providence of God in the Life of Harry DMonte by Lynda Samuel. Late in his life and after he had lost his wife, at the age of 82, his right leg was amputated, leading to a period of great suffering, but not without much spiritual fruit. He went to be with his Lord in August 2018 at the age of 98.
